It does bring up an interesting question: Bluecoat, I feel, works best in cocktails where some of that harshness can be smoothed out with other ingredients (e.g. citrus juice). But if you're looking for a mean gin, shouldn't one be drinking something like pink gin or a gin&tonic or a 3:1 gin:vermouth martini, three drinks where I find Bluecoat nigh-undrinkably harsh?

All of this is moot, in my case (screw you again, Herman). I'm curious how you feel about that dilemma, though.
