Nov. 3rd, 2009 09:29 pmDinner tonight was a steak (the second and last of my two delmonico cuts), french onion soup, a sort of shepherd's pie made with turkey, pork and sweet potato (and peas and regular potato), and some pears poached in port wine with a homemade chocolate creme. I was just going to do the chocolate creme, but there wasn't really enough so Marcia (roomie) and I decided to use it to top the pears I had bought today instead.
Then she taught me how to make a southern-style pan gravy using the grease from the cooking of the ground meat. Yum!
