Weird dreams again last night. Standard zombie narrative, with the Zs chasing a rag-tag band of survivors through a post-apocalyptic landscape, a haunted house and also an oyster farm. And then through the Enterprise-D. And then Thomas Riker showed up -- you know, the transporter clone of William Riker who later up and joined the Maquis -- and attacked me in the ship's head (only now I'm not so sure it was Thomas Riker. It might have been a mirror universe Riker, judging by his overall demeanor and weird uniform) so I had him transported onto a shuttlecraft, which is what they were using as zombie contagion quarantine units. And then Troi and Crusher decided that it would be a bright idea to summon a demon using a bunch of artifacts they found on some planet somewhere, and ask the demon to banish the zombies. It was a cool summoning ritual, featuring a bunch of Raiders of the Lost Ark-type staves with glowy red crystals on top focusing the light from some wicked-looking red planet or star or something.

And then my cat Oona jumped on my unpleasantly full bladder and I woke up.

I have a craving... for chamomile tea. That's weird. I've never had a craving for chamomile tea before.

I also have a craving for a sausage and anchovy stromboli with extra cheese, but that's mostly normal.

So Steve Landesberg died the other day. He wasn't a huge celebrity or a big name, but I consistently enjoyed his work in everything I've ever seen him in, including but not limited to Barney Miller. It's a pity he went that young.
