Indeed. I only discovered Gunsmoke last summer (courtesy of the one hour eps that run nightly on Encore Western), when, to be honest, I started watching it for laughs. But it quickly won me over and I've been devouring the show through boxsets and netflix streaming since. I know he was really, really old, but it was still a shock to hear the news today. God rest him!
