Things I cannot find, either at all or for less than extortionate prices:

A museum-quality capuchin monkey skull. $140 is the cheapest I've been able to locate. Feh.

Safety goggles or glasses that will a) fit over my regular glasses and b) fit my giant noggin. I can get one or the other, but not both. I despayre, which is like despairing only gothier.

A place to buy large carving blanks of exotic wood. Planks, yes. 20cm x 20cm cubes for carving? Nope.

As far as the monkey skull, have you tried Necromance? A quick perusal did not reveal any monkey skulls, but if you e-mailed them, they might know where to find one.

Have you checked medical supply stores for safety glasses? They might have the full face shield like the dentists have, but with a higher safety rating for things flying around during brain surgery and joint replacement.
