Holy crap! Was that an implied backalley abortion in the opening seconds of this episode of I Spy? I think... I think it was.

On a slightl related topic...

A woman called the maternity unit today asking if the hospital performs abortions. We don't. But the vibe I got through the phone was that she wasn't seeking an abortion- it was more like she just wanted to know if we did or didn't.

It was a weird conversation is all I'm saying.

I Spy is on Hulu?! I didn't know. I've subscribed. Thanks!

All three seasons are up there now, so I don't know what else they might add that would trigger your subscription.

Weird. Not the first instance of abortion on American TV, though. Look up THE DEFENDERS some time; they did a whole episode on abortion, ending with an argument for legalization, in 1962.

Oh man, The Defender was such a political show.

In that I Spy ep, I guess that's how you know he's a villainous doctor? That was an establishing shot? But it doesn't really make a lot of sense -- context establishes pretty thoroughly.
