Oh, I meant to add that even though the insurance will reimburse us for hotel expenses at some nebulous future date, liquidity issues might mean that roomie and I might have to take some of you up on the offer for temporary lodging come this weekend (my plans to spend the weekend up in NYC might have to be delayed yet again, alas).

In that exigency, I regretfully have to shine a light into the deliberately murky tangles of my personal life. Specifically, we're roommates and good friends, but we're not that kind of friend, so while we have no trouble sharing a room or bathroom, we would ideally prefer not to share a bed.

Two -- count 'em -- two guest rooms here. One with single bed, one with double. Sheets and towels included.
No feline visitors, though -- my cat would be most unhappy with that notion.

I don't know about your roommate, but I've got a futon in the library. If you want to fly out here, you could stay for a couple weeks, maybe more depending on my SO.
