You'd think, on first glance, that Optimus Prime would be a good contender, but both Luke and Wolvie have excellent records against oversized, vaguely anthropomorphic machines (Sentinels, AT-ATs, etc.) On the other hand I can't see either of them slicing up the kid. So I'm voting Yagathai on this one. I think he bushwhacks Potter after the other three take each other out.
Problem is, Wolverine's healing factor has changed over time to the point where, as far as I can tell, he simply can't die. That doesn't mean he wins, per se, but can he really lose?
He can die if beheaded, and theoretically he can be killed by magic, or if he is burned/irradiated enough to kill every single living cell in his entire body.
I am offended, sir, that Edward the Sparkly Vampire did not appear in this round.
Otherwise, Wolverine is disqualified from "The Most Thinly Veiled Character Archetype" because he simply *is* that particular archetype. That's like saying King Arthur is a thinly veiled character archetype. And also, I maintain that he can defeat wielders of magic, Jedi knights, and ten-story tall robots with his sheer awesome moodiness.
Wolverine would behead Luke before Luke had a chance to bring himself to Jedi the metal out of him. Wolverine does not wait for his theme music.
I don't think any of the fictional characters could be bothered to see a shrink, nor would they talk to one if forced to go. You, on the other hand, are a seething cauldron of insecurities and idiosyncracies.
