hahaha. you fucking punk.

BTW, my sinus menace will totally win the fight because it, WE, have the Power of 'Roid Rage (not to mention Unusual Brain Malformation) supporting and compelling us. After we pummel our foes, we will deossify or otherwise dissolve them in a hot minute, thanks to the might of the cytokines. :p

You know that the Stuff seems to be on YouTube in its entirety? I might have to opt for a rewatch tonight.

How can... how can a movie have a guest star?

I am as confused as you. Truly, the 1980s were a wondrous decade.

Hey, no fair. I was assuming you were fighting with us against the alien!

"Do I belong to my alien, or to Yag's Flist? Double Agent!"

This is a dubious series of questions. I haven't thought this hard since that statistics exam from hell I took a while ago.

As to who would win in a fight, I have to go with either The Stuff or The Blob. The thing they have going for them both is the inevitability that they'll just keep getting larger and larger. No matter what The Mist or Thing could throw at them wouldn't matter, since Stuff and Blob would just overtake them. In a war of attrition, the thing that grows to giganto size wins. The Stuff put me off creamy looking foods for a while when I was a boy. There was just something super gross about all of the characters in that movie eating that thick white ice cream looking stuff all the time. Nasty.

Now, what's scarier is a whole different thing. I would say The Mist is the scariest of the bunch. The Stuff and The Thing both have that Invasion of the Body Snatchers "everyone's out to get you" shit going for them to be sure, but The Mist takes them. Why? The Mist isn't the unknown (which is bad), it's the barely known (which is way worst). You never know what all The Mist holds in it's shroud of clouds, but you know what some of it is -- and that some you know is scary as shit. So you take that, and then use your imagination to guess what else could be lurking out in the mist? Yeah, fuck that. The Blog and Stuff would be scary, but more in the "what are we gonna do!" mode of things, since once you know what they are -- they kind of just are big stupid things. The Mist is not only "what are we gonna do!" but also "What tentacled bug-like thing from hell is it gonna throw at me next!". Jeepers, I say.

Favorite movie is The Mist but The Thing is right there alongside it.

Sorry for geeking out all over you LJ there, but these were great questions. The best "versus" I've seen in a while.

I guess you're lucky I didn't include The Fog in the list like I was originally going to.

I need more information. Are we talking about the thing in Xray's sinus cavities as it exists right now? Or are we talking about it's state once she gets it out and pummels it into oblivion?

Well that makes a difference, for sure. Right now it possesses the strength of it's host and is, therefore, invincible. Once it is separated from it's host, it will be nothing more than a small basin of mildew.
