I slept 50 minutes past my alarm. =o Lucky for me I allow myself an ample amount of snooze time, because otherwise I'd be totally boned. As it was I once again had to abbreviate my morning routine and then spring for a cab I couldn't afford. I made it here only 4 minutes late, which is pretty amazing, considering. And also I feel extremely tired, so I think my body is trying to tell me something. Maybe I'll take one of those accursed pills and hit the sack extra early tonight.

Yeah, maybe. And maybe I'm a Chinese jet pilot.

ETA: That line really doesn't work as well when one is actually Chinese, or reasonable facsimile thereof.

This is an oversimplification of your problems with insomnia, but:

You eat way too late at night. Stop by 7:30.

You drink too much, and too late at night. Stop, or stop by 7:30.

Turn off the TV, the computer, and your phone by 9 p.m.

I do these things (or try to) AND take pills, but the pills are much less heavy-duty than those you are contemplating.
