I have had several other friends sacrifice their gallbladders on the altar of, "holy shit, my internal organs want to kill me." in the past 6 months.

Including my dad.

Now that it can be laproscopically, I suspect gall bladder removal has become the new "when in doubt, take it out" "easy" fix.
