yagathaiStetched my lobes to 4ga on a whim. I actually went in to get more conservative jewelry, and instead walked out with bigger holes, though the black glass plugs I've got are a lot less fancy than the big stainless steel horseshoes I had been sporting.
The right ear, once more, feels just fine. Could probably stretch it again right now. But the left earlobe... it is purple-red and swollen and hot and angry. I've taken the O-ring off of the plug to give the swelling a bit more room, and have been doing icewater soaks to bring the swelling down, and hot saltwater soaks to try to calm the infection a bit.
We'll see how it goes. Usually the best bet is to tough it out, but if it gets badly infected I may take it out, let it heal and then try starting over.
