Considering how slow LJ has become, it hardly seems worth it.

I guess it depends on how much you like things being ad-free. And how much you like to harass Vladimir Putin, since many of the slow-downs on the site are due to anti-Putin sentiment posted by the Russian users. I re-upped for that alone.

Meh. I've been free for ages and honestly haven't noticed any difference. If there's ads I don't see them due to adblocker and NoScript, so it depends on how much you like icons.
