yagathaiSo, as I have hinted to some of you previously, I will alas not be attending Worldcon this year, much to my regret. There are a couple of reasons for my shameful absence, but the most relevant one is that...
... I will be moving the weekend of August 8th! If you can read this and you're local to Philly, I'd appreciate it if you could come down and help out that Saturday, starting at around 2PM. It should be a pretty quick and easy move, since my new place is literally the other side of the block from my old place -- the backyards touch each other.
A couple of you have volunteered either your vehicles or your spouse's vehicle (I'm looking at you,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
glamour_junkie and kemidra), so assuming those offers are firm, it should save me having to rent a truck to drive a couple of hundred feet, which just seems silly.
Things will be packed before you arrive and with any luck we should be able to wrap things up inside of an hour or two. I'll provide beverages and lunch as is customary, and a grand time will be had by all.
