I do not like the casting for Melisandre. It doesn't look or feel right.

I think if they put her in a red wig, it will totally work. I pictured her as slightly older, but OTOH I have no idea how old these pictures are.

Also I'm loving the actress they cast for Brienne, while she is way less ugly than the actual Brienne (but then again peter dinklage is less ugly than Tyrion, they are "Tv ugly"), I love that they actually got a giant lady! Yeah, I can totally see it. I don't see it so much in the still from Black Death, but I think that's because they gave her a pretty unflattering haircolour/wig. I trust them not to do that for Mel.

My favorite casting note so far is from Salon: "King casting of the day: HBO announced that the second season of "Game of Thrones" will feature Stephen Dillane as Stannis Baratheon and Carice van Houten as his sorceress Melisandre. There goes our hope of Sean Bean coming back with different facial hair to play Robert's older brother."
